Dining Table Leaf Replacement
Flame Mahogany Veneer replacement with banding.

This an example of creating a replacement leaf for a mahogany veneer dining table.

Step 1
The new table leaf show has just been released from the veneer press. Veneer is glued to both sides to prevent warping.

Step 2
Next, the new leaf has the satinwood banding, ebony inlay, reeded edge and aligning wedges applied.

Step 3
For comparison, the new leaf is placed on top of the dining table to show the matching of the flame Mahogany veneer.

Step 4
Here is the dining table leaf colored, polished and installed. Note that the veneer, grain, coloring and polish match so precisely that it is virtually impossible to distinguish the replacement leaf from the original table.
